About Underwater Diving

What is it like?

Scuba diving in Destin, Florida is an adventure like no other. Scuba diving is a mesmerizing experience. The weightlessness you feel while swimming in the water is almost like flying. You'll  also see amazing, unique creatures, such as an octopus trying to blend in with a rock, a hammerhead shark's underbelly as it swims over you or a black snapper as it moves past you with its glittering, red scales.
While a lot of first-timers forget hand signals or struggle with breathing through their mask, eventually they get the hang of swimming in the water and learn to be in the moment. Divers also notice the sound of their breathing or bubbles rising to the surface of the water; these noises are typically tuned out after a while.

Gear and Equipment

Scuba diving takes a lot of equipment and gear to get started. Thanks to our great scuba diving team, you won't have to worry about any of the required equipment below:
  • Diving Mask
  • Snorkel
  • Fins
  • Wetsuit
  • Buoyancy Compensator
  • Scuba Gloves
  • Air Tank
  • Scuba Regulator
  • Depth Gauge or Dive Computer

We'll help you put on the equipment and give you a quick run-down on what they do. After that, you're good to go in the water.

For first time divers, we advise you to bring one of our on-site scuba guides or become certified through PADI's online eLearning course. If you don't want to do that, at least bring a buddy while diving.

Diving with the Kids

Went with my kids and grandkids. Thought I would be too old to go, but turned out to be easier on my body than I thought. Really awesome scuba team made the dive possible!
